Axis Bank reconciliation software

Axis Bank Integration with SYSTACC

An Axis Bank statement should not be checked against the books line by line. Upload it to SYSTACC as Excel or CSV, and every credit and debit is matched to the receipt or payment already on your Axis Bank ledger. You only look at what did not match.

Overview

Accounting software built for travel

A travel business sees a steady flow through its Axis Bank account: client receipts by NEFT, RTGS and UPI, supplier and airline payments, cheques and bank charges. SYSTACC brings that statement and your books together with bank reconciliation.

Open Bank Reconciliation, pick your Axis Bank ledger and choose one of the two Axis templates. The AXIS template takes the regular account statement as Excel or CSV. Axis puts account details above the transactions, and that block can be a different length each time, so SYSTACC finds the transaction header row on its own. It reads the transaction date, value date, cheque number, particulars, debit or credit, amount and balance, and stops before the legend at the end of the file. The AXIS - Detailed template reads the detailed statement, with transaction date, cheque number, particulars, separate debit and credit columns and balance. You see a preview before anything is saved.

Then every line is matched to your books. A credit is matched to a receipt, and a debit to a payment, on the same Axis Bank ledger, for exactly the same amount, on the value date or the transaction date. When there is one such entry, the line is marked reconciled and the receipt or payment number is recorded against it.

When more than one entry fits, the line is marked as a possible match. You open it, see the receipts or payments with that amount and date, and pick the right one. An entry already matched to another line is not offered again, so one receipt cannot settle two credits.

Lines with nothing in the books are marked not matched, such as bank charges or a payment nobody has entered yet. SYSTACC does not post anything on its own, so you decide how each one is recorded.

Each upload shows the total lines, reconciled, possible match and not matched counts, with the statement total, the book total and the difference, so you know the gap before month-end. Uploaded files are listed by date, and you can delete a single line or a whole file and upload again.

Benefits

Why travel agencies choose this approach

01

No more ticking statements by hand

Every Axis Bank line with one clear match in the books is reconciled the moment the statement is uploaded.

02

Excel or CSV, as Axis gives it

Upload the statement as it comes from Axis Bank. SYSTACC finds where the transactions start, whatever the account details above them.

03

Only the exceptions to review

Possible matches and lines with nothing in the books are set aside, so the team works on those and nothing else.

04

One receipt, one credit

A receipt or payment matched to one statement line is not offered for another, so nothing is counted twice.

05

The gap in one number

The statement total, the book total and the difference sit at the top of every upload.

FAQs

Common questions

How does SYSTACC work with Axis Bank?

You upload your Axis Bank statement in Bank Reconciliation. SYSTACC reads every line and matches it to the receipts and payments already posted on your Axis Bank ledger.

Which Axis Bank statements can I upload?

Two kinds. The AXIS template takes the regular account statement as Excel or CSV. The AXIS - Detailed template takes the detailed statement, which has separate debit and credit columns.

Do I need to clean up the file before uploading?

No. Axis statements have account details above the transactions and a legend at the end. With the AXIS template, SYSTACC finds the transaction header row itself and stops before the legend.

How does SYSTACC decide a line is matched?

A credit is matched to a receipt and a debit to a payment, on the same bank ledger, for exactly the same amount, on the value date or the transaction date. If exactly one entry fits, the line is reconciled.

What is a possible match?

When more than one receipt or payment fits a statement line, SYSTACC marks it as a possible match. You open it, see the entries with that amount and date, and choose the right one.

Does SYSTACC create entries for lines that do not match?

No. Lines with nothing in the books, like bank charges or a payment not yet entered, are listed as not matched. You decide how to record them, so nothing is posted without you.

Can I reconcile Axis Bank credit cards?

There is no dedicated Axis card template yet. You can use the custom credit card template by saving the card statement as a CSV with Date, Description, Reference Number, Purchases and Payments/Refunds columns.

What if I upload the wrong statement?

You can delete a single line, or the whole uploaded file, and upload the correct statement again.

Is there a live connection to Axis Bank?

Reconciliation works with the statement you download from Axis Bank. You upload the file, and SYSTACC does the matching.
